Samsung Galaxy S3 Gets an Android 4.4.4 Kitkat Update, Ushering New Changes Such as Wireless Printing Support among Others
Samsung Galaxy S3 users are going to benefit from the new KitKat ROM released by the C-ROM team. Apparently, this is based on the latest Android 4.4.4 update. This is supposed to bring the latest Kitkat release in a stable and smooth release bringing in a lot of performance improvements including some awesome system tweaks. Some of the features which are ported to the new C-ROM include Pie, HALO, and Dark C-ROM, active display, gesture anywhere, floating windows, animation controls and lockscreen configurations.
Samsung has been working on pushing out the Android 4.4.4 Kitkat update to the Galaxy flagships since January. Apparently six months later, the company is still apparently looking to get 4.4.2 updates out to its devices. With new details coming up every so often, there are a few details that we should look at. For one, the past month has been really complicated because of a pair of Android 4.4 KitKat update from Google. Because there were issues with the Android 4.4.2 Kitkat updates, it decided to flood the market with Android 4.4.3 Kitkat and Android 4.4.4 Kitkat updates in order to take care of the mess that was left over from the previous release. Similarly, the completion has gotten wind of it and is taking advantage of the situation. As such, Android 4.4.4 KitKat has been rolled out to several devices like Sony Xperia Z1, and HTC One and Moto G. the S3 which is still a flagship of the company is one of the phones to benefit.
The new firmware will bring setting such as SMS optional app selector for Google hangouts, lock screen access like the media control that comes along with a camera shortcut and full alarm default. There are also new alarm location settings that come with an integrated new location menu and a new selection of emoji icons. It will also provide for wireless printing support for Bluetooth and Wi-Fi which is for the well matched printers.
