iPod Touch 6G: All You Need To Know On The Earliest Release Date And Announcements On The Anticipated iPod Touch 6G
It seems like the long awaited iPod will not be released as soon as expected. According to a new analyst report the iPod Touch 6G release date will not be in 2014 with the reports suggesting Apple will be skipping its release in order for them to deliver the most awaited iWatch in the fourth quarter of the year which begins in October.
Now the new iWatch by Apple is said to be released this year and if this is true it will be the first wearable by Apple. It is expected to have connectivity to the iPhone and iPad for notifications that help in tracking health and fitness with a variety of sensors.
Early last year Apple announced that they would not be able to release an improved iPod early this year hence making us expect its release late this year. This however does not seem the case with the recent report suggesting that Apple is not ready to deliver us the new sixth generation of the iPod.
This is what Christopher Caso an analyst with Susquehanna Financial Group told "Barrons", "We, however, aren't assuming a material impact to earnings from iWatch, since the iWatch would essentially replace the iPod in the consumer portion of AAPL's product lineup. While we don't expect AAPL to discontinue iPod for some time, we also don't expect an iPod refresh this year, and believe iPod could post Y/Y unit declines as a result as consumers purchasing iWatch as a substitute."
Well if Apple pushes the release of the 6th generation of iPod it will give room and time for people to know more about the new iWatch (also referred to as iTime). We do hope that Apple will release it next year all the same and that this will give them time to add more features and make the next iPod super awesome for its fans.
