Benjamin Hastings Pays Tribute to His Dad on the Moving "A Father's Blessing"
Benjamin Hastings, known for co-writing and leading Hillsong UNITED's #1 single "So Will I (100 Billion X)," has written a beautiful tribute song for his dad. "A Father's Blessings," with its accompanying video, is now available on all digital platforms.
Hastings writes, "Dad. I wrote this song thinking about the way you (and mum) raised Luke and I. You are exactly the kind of father I pray I am to Juniper and Bellamy. And happy Father's Day to all the other dads out there. Be you father, daughter, mother, son, I pray you can find yourself somewhere in in this song."
Since featuring on "So Will I (100 Billion X) Hastings has written a whole lot of songs which, if you add them all together have been streamed over 500 Million times. Recently, Hastings and his family moved to Los Angeles, CA. His latest solo offering explores the ongoing wrestle of exercising faith (among other things) and to be honest it may be a little more honest than you're used to hearing. But his hope is that somewhere in its humanity, you find something divine. After all; sometimes you gotta lie in the dirt just to stare at the stars.
