Canyon Hills Worship's "Mercy of Jesus" is the Perfect Song for Easter
Canyon Hills Worship has recently released a powerful new track "Mercy Of Jesus" (DREAM Worship). The Seattle-based worship team from Canyon Hills Community Church co-wrote the song with Brandon Coker and Clay Finnesand of North Point Worship. "Mercy Of Jesus" is the perfect Easter song as it speaks about our need to respond to the mercy Jesus shows to us on Calvary.
Michael Monroe writes, "Jesus' heart for you is so perfect. There's nothing you can do to make him love you more and there's nothing you can do to make him love you less. You can bring anything and everything to Him. There's nothing to heavy, there's nothing to trivial. Bring whatever you've got and lay it down on the Mercy of Jesus. We hope this song blesses you and your ministries!" -
The group is made up of worship leaders and songwriters from Canyon Hills Community Church in Seattle Washington. Their heart is to write music that inspires worshippers in the local church and stirs people's attention and affection towards Jesus.
Here are the lyrics:
[Verse 1]
Bring your burdens
Bring your heartaches
Bring your sorrows
Bring your mistakes
Bring whatever you've got and lay it down
Bring whatever you've got and lay it down on the mercy of Jesus
[Verse 2]
Bring your questions
Bring your worries
Bring your future
Bring your history
Bring whatever you've got and lay it down
Bring whatever you've got and lay it down on the mercy of Jesus
[Chorus]
'Cause He is full of compassion and an unending grace
His heart is forgiveness and His love doesn't change
He's the way, the truth, the life, he'll carry us all the way
So bring whatever you've got and lay it down
Bring whatever you've got and lay it down
On the mercy of Jesus
[Verse 3]
There's no limits
There's no measure
His pow'r and goodness
Go on forever
So bring whatever you've got and lay it down (Yeah)
Bring whatever you've got and lay it down
[Chorus]
'Cause He is full of compassion and an unending grace
His heart is forgiveness and His love doesn't change
He's the way, the truth, the life, he'll carry us all the way
So bring whatever you've got and lay it down (Yeah)
Bring whatever you've got and lay it down
On the mercy of Jesus
[Bridge]
Oh, what a savior, oh, what a friend that we found
What once was broken has been restored in Him now
Nothing too heavy, too big or too small
Bring it to Jesus, oh, trust him with it all
Oh, what a savior, oh, what a friend that we found
What once was broken has been restored in Him now
Nothing too heavy, too big or too small
Bring it to Jesus, oh, trust him with it all
[Chorus]
'Cause He is full of compassion and an unending graceHis heart is forgiveness and His love doesn't change
He's the way, the truth, the life, he'll carry us all the way
So bring whatever you've got, oh, bring whatever you've got
'Cause He is full of compassion and an unending graceHis heart is forgiveness and His love doesn't change
He's the way, the truth, the life, he'll carry us all the way
So bring whatever you've got and lay it down (Yeah)
So bring whatever you've got and lay it down
Oh, won't you bring whatever you've got and lay it down
On the mercy of Jesus
