Murk Helps Women Define Their Worth with New Single "P31;" Watch Video Here
Contemporary music, particularly hip hop and rap, has a tendency to discredit women as mere objects of lust. This is not so with female emcee Murk. Signed to Mr. Del's Dedicated Music Group record label, Murk has just released her brand new single and music video, "P31", a favorite among both Murk and her fans. "P31" is a song lifted from Murk's brand new album "In Season."
"P31" is a culturally relevant tribute to the Proverbs 31 woman -portraying beauty with holy confidence while not falling prey to society's standards - and also represents the dynamic life Murk aspires to and challenges her peers to live. This is what Murk has to say about her new song: "P31 is my favorite song. It gets me dancing! And I love the message of how women are supposed to be and carry themselves, remaining beautiful on the inside. Most people see me and think I'm a singer/soprano; they're shocked I am a rapper. There's a voice in the secular world, so I believe it's important to have a platform that represents Christ too."
