Donna Ulisse Puts Her Own Spin on Loretta Lynn's Gospel Classic "Harp with Golden Strings"
Bluegrass music veteran Donna Ulisse has recorded her own unique version of Loretta Lynn's Gospel classic "Harp With Golden Strings." Lynn first recorded the song in 1968 for her Who Says God is Dead! album. The song speaks about the joy of making music when we get to heaven.
I love to hear those good old songs they sing unto the Lord
I love to play my old guitar with them and I wanna choir
I'm looking forward to the day when I'll reach glory land
I'll have a harp with golden strings to play with the angel band
Ulisse has recorded her version of this classic for her new album Livin' Large, which will be available on February 25, 2022.. The album will be a mix of original material written or co-written by Donna with Doyle Lawson, Becky Buller, Rick Stanley, Jerry Salley & Rebekah Long. It also includes a gospel cover of a Loretta Lynn song and songs written by Buddy Cannon, Dean Dillon and Bud McGuire.
This will be Donna's third album produced by bluegrass legend Doyle Lawson.
