Hillsong Church's Global Senior Pastor Bobbie Houston Offers Words of Hope for Christmas
Christmas isn't all bright and merry for everyone. Hillsong's Global Senior Pastor Bobbie Houston has taken the time to encourage those who feel lost and lonely this Christmas. In a touching message, she encourages all of us to look to Christ.
"Christmas might be looking (disappointingly or annoyingly) different again this year for many - but keep your eyes on what you do have, not what you feel you might be loosing. God is the one who rescues, redeems and restores (Thankyou Brian for this truth at Vision Sunday) ... so friends, remain steadfast, cos THE LORD is surely not done shaking this earth nor its people. Remember His promises and all He has prepared for those who love him, and (very impt) towards those yet to come to His SAVING knowledge. And as much as Darkness hates this fact - multitudes are going to come to Jesus in this next season.
So if you are a labourer or servantheart within His field .. if you are runner in His cause ... if you are a soldier in this battle for Kingdom Come - then don't loose heart. Farmers who quit miss and compromise the harvest. Runners who quit and leave the race, compromise their own perfect reward (that is in Him and Him alone) ... and soldiers who bail, loose sight of the REAL enemy or succumb to the heat of battle, compromise the victory AND DELAY HIS PURPOSES.
So rise up (again and again and again) ladies and gentlemen."
With a catalogue of songs sung by an estimated 50 million people worldwide each week, Hillsong Worship is comprised of a diverse global community built on the foundation of connection and community. To date, the group has garnered 7 billion career streams and over 20 million career album sales.
