Casting Crowns' Former Drummer Andy Williams Had Surgery But is Still Seriously Ill
Casting Crowns' former drummer Andy Williams was severely injured in a motorcycle accident on June 27 (Sunday). Williams was struck by a vehicle while on his motorcycle on his way to church. He was rushed to Vanderbilt Emergency Department in Nashville, Tennessee. And he was immediately put on ventilator with severe trauma to his body and brain. According to his church's social media, Williams just had surgery, he is still not conscious and he is a long way from recovery.
"Your prayers are being felt and we are so thankful." Williams' church pastor Jeff updated. "Don't stop! God is moving in so many ways. He's bringing comfort, opportunity, and relationships in this trial. Andy had a surgical procedure this morning to find the culprit of his continued fevers. The procedure was a success and doctors removed bacteria from his lungs.
Pray that this will keep his temperature down and the fevers at bay as God continues to heal his body. Continue to pray for complete healing and for the amazing doctors who are working diligently. We are so thankful for those who have donated to the Gofundme. The family can feel the love of Jesus from your generosity and continued prayers. Love to all!"
On the day of the accident Casting Crowns informed. "This morning Andy Williams, our beloved drummer, was struck by a vehicle while on his motorcycle on his way to church... Please pray for Williams, his wife Kelly, his two sons Asher and Aiden, and his sister Mary. "He is ALIVE but his needs are many. The doctors say right now that the best thing that can happen is for him to wake up on his own so please stop what you're doing and pray for Andy to wake up," the band urged.
