Fans are looking for any new information for Season 3 of the hit Netflix show. In castings news for "Orange is the New Black" Season 3, co-star Laura Prepon, who plays Alex Vause, has confirmed she will be back full time in season 3. She wasn't seen much in Season 2 as she was in hiding most of the episodes. "All the girls are so close, I feel like I never left," Pepron said. "Or like I was there all of season 2. We all wanted me to be there for more of season 2."
Also for Season 3, there are rumors that Jason Biggs character Larry Bloom, Piper's significant other outside of prison, would not have much focus in the upcoming season. Biggs himself said that he has not filmed anything for Season 3 yet. So Larry Bloom's presence in the new episodes might be very limited, we will see.
All 13 episodes of Season 1 of the netflix original series "Orange is the New Black" released exclusively on Netflix July 11, 2013 and Season 2 released in June 2014. So it is pretty safe to say that "Orange is the New Black" Season 3 will release sometime in June of 2015.
Netflix experimented this format of releasing full seasons at once and it has been very successful for them. Netflix other hit series "House of Cards" released this same way as well with Season 1 and Season 2 and was very successful.
The show is based around Taylor Schilling, who plays Piper Chapman that gets sent to prison 10 years after she got caught up in transporting drug money across international lines. "Orange is the New Black" is made by 'Weeds' creator Jenji Kohan, and is based on Piper Kerman's memoir of a year spent in prison. "Orange is the New Black" became the latest hit series for Netflix after a surprisingly huge reaction to its first season this summer it's controversial yet honest portrayal of prison life for women that is not been discussed much in popular culture especially through a series.
