Tim Tebow Writes Children's Book Celebrating Children with Special Needs
Tim Tebow, a former NFL player turned baseball player, has co-authored a children's book titled Bronco and Friends: A Party to Remember with A.J. Gregory. The book, published Jan. 5, features animal characters that have various disabilities.
The book revolves around a dog named Bronco. Bronco received an invitation to a party, but he can't find the puzzle piece everyone is supposed to bring. During his search, he encounters a variety of friends with their own set of worries: a flightless bird, an allergic goat, and a clumsy bunny. The animals team up to find both Bronco's puzzle piece and the party, arriving to discover that the party is in their honor!
This sweet story of animals with different challenges and abilities is core to Tim Tebow's message to fans and friends of any age who have special needs. Getting invited to the party is exciting-but bringing your own particular gifts makes it more fun for everyone. Tim Tebow wants everyone to know that's how God sees them: special, unique, and essential to the party.
The premise of the book is that "Every single kid is special, is wonderfully made and is essential to God's big party."
The book concludes with a passage from Ephesians 2:10: "We are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago."
Tebow is a two-time national champion, first round NFL draft pick, and Heisman trophy winner. After playing in the NFL for the Denver Broncos and the New York Jets, Tebow joined the SEC Network. In addition to his role on SEC Nation, the network's traveling road show, Tebow contributes to a variety of other ESPN platforms. In fall 2016 he signed a baseball contract with the New York Mets. Through it all, Tim's true passion remains the work of the Tim Tebow Foundation which he began in 2010. The foundation's mission is to bring Faith, Hope, and Love to those needing a brighter day in their darkest hour of need. The foundation is fulfilling that mission every day by serving thousands of deserving children around the world.
