Watch the McCrary Sisters Team Up with Buddy Miller for "What Child is This"

The McCrary Sisters have teamed up with Americana icon Buddy Miller for a rootsy-Gospel-ish rendition of the Christmas hymn "What Child is This." The song is taken from A Very McCrary Christmas, a stunning sacred collection that embraces the quartet's soulful Southern roots.

Produced by Grammy award-winner, Scott Billington, A Very McCrary Christmas is the McCrary Sisters' first album for Rounder Records. Southern gospel, traditional hymns, R&B, pop, jazz... all of these influences find their way into A Very McCrary Christmas.

Many of the titles here are familiar, although they're now beautifully wrapped in surprising new arrangements and feature an array of special guests including Pastor Shirley Caesar, Steve Crawford, Jerry Douglas, Alison Krauss, Buddy Miller, and Keb' Mo'. Though the McCrary Sisters can be heard individually throughout the album, it's the power of all four voices together that makes the album shine.

The McCrary Sisters (Ann, Deborah, Regina and Alfreda) are the daughters of the late Rev. Samuel McCrary - one of the original members of the legendary gospel quartet The Fairfield Four. The daughters were raised in harmony, singing at home and at their father's church, but word soon spread of their individual accomplished voices and each began sharing the family vocal legacy as solo artists with a wide range of performers to include Bob Dylan, Elvis, Isaac Hayes and Stevie Wonder.

In 2011, the Sisters officially formed their own group, The McCrary Sisters, and have since recorded or performed with notable artists Delbert McClinton, Black Keys, Martina McBride, Eric Church, Patty Griffin, Buddy Miller, Jonny Lang, Robert Randolph, The Winans, Donnie McClurkin, Rosanne Cash, Carrie Underwood, Hank Williams Jr., Dr. John, Widespread Panic, Sheryl Crow, Maren Morris, Gregg Allman and many more.
