Author Chris Wark Partners with Neverthirst to Provide Clean Water for the Poor in Cambodia

chris wark

Chris Wark, author of the Publishers Weekly, Wall Street Journal, USA Today and Amazon best-selling book, Chris Beat Cancer, recently returned from a ministry trip to Cambodia, where he observed first-hand the astounding changes resulting from his collaboration with Neverthirst. Theclean water ministry organization.

"This is our fifth year of supporting Neverthirst, and I can't think of a more important ministry to the less fortunate," says Wark, who reached out on his recent birthday to his 100,000+ followers on YouTube and on Facebook to raise money to support the organization's work in Cambodia. "It is estimated that about 600 million people in the world don't have access to clean water, and over 800 children die each day from diseases they got from drinking dirty water. Jesus said, 'Whatever you do to the least of these, you do unto me.' I don't think there is any better way to serve God, and to do God's work in the world, than by taking care of the poor. I hope you'll join me in this really incredible mission."

Last year, Wark and his Chris Beat Cancer followers raised over $100,000 to fund clean water wells in Cambodia, in addition to funding school wash projects and garbage kilns as a sanitary means of disposing of community garbage. This year Wark upped the ante, with a goal of raising $250,000 toward providing clean drinking water to impoverished people. That goal has already been surpassed, with $339,000 raised in the first week.

"The level of poverty in Cambodia is a whole different world," Wark says of his visit to the Southeast Asian country. "Even the poorest working American makes at least 10 times what the average Cambodian makes. If you are feeling inspired, and if your heart is overflowing with gratitude for how wealthy we are, and if you have sympathy for the plight of the poorest of the poor, I hope you will partner with me and give to a clean water ministry like Neverthirst."

Wark captured a portion of his visit to a Cambodian school on video to show where the money he and his followers raised was used by Neverthirst to provide clean drinking water, school wash centers and more. The response of the Cambodian people was overwhelming, Wark notes. To view the video online, visit facebook.com/chrisbeatcancer/videos/321276658814215/.
Wark's commitment to partner with Neverthirst goes hand in hand with his personal mission to educate people all over the world about natural, non-toxic ways to avoid and even recover from diseases such as cancer.
