Lawson, who serves as the album's Executive Producer with Mickey Gamble, contributed two songs on the project. Premiering exclusively on Hallels is one of two Lawson's brand new song entitled "We'll Never Walk Alone." Written by Randy Swift, "We'll Never Walk Alone" is faith-assuring song about how Jesus abides with us even through life's storms. Take a listen to the song here.
At the breakfast table, with my mother and my dad
Talkin' about the storms of life, and how things were goin' bad
Seems like everything was broken, we had no water in our house
And when it came time for the prayer, I was quiet as a mouse
And wondered what my dad was gonna say
Then he sowed these seeds of hope when he prayed
He said glory be to Jesus 'cause I know that he sees us
And He takes care to take care of all who're called His own
And though the enemy assails us, our God will never fail us
He knows when we're in trouble and we'll never walk alone
Though I was small I still recall the words my daddy prayed
And when I face the storms of life I will not be afraid
'Cause I know all things work together for my good I know it's true
And when my life's turned upside down I know just what I'll do
My mind goes back to when I was that kid
And I'll say those words just like my daddy did
The collection is available for pre-order now, and fans can catch a three-minute teaser in this YouTube video.
