‘Duck Dynasty’ Star Sadie Robertson Lends Vocals to New Song With CCM Band Anthem Lights
“Duck Dynasty” star Sadie Robertson has entered the music industry by collaborating with contemporary Christian music band Anthem Lights and recording a new track titled “Just Be You.”
The 20-year-old reality TV star took to Instagram and shared a preview video for the track.
"There will always be people talking," Robertson sings in the clip while Anthem Lights plays guitar and sings in the background. "Face your fears and chase your dreams and dance like no one's watching."
The young motivational speaker already shared a previous update about the collaboration when she took to Instagram and shared a photo from a recording studio. She also dropped hints about the track getting featured on her forthcoming Live Original tour.
"UM GUYS ... may or may not be recording a brand new song called 'Just Be You' with @anthemlightsband that we may or may not be performing on the @liveoriginal tour for the first time live," Robertson wrote on Instagram.
In an interview with the Christian Post, Robertson touched on her realizations, including the need to follow God’s plans because these were better than making her own.
"I used to plan what my life would look like, then I realized God will take you to so many bigger places than you can ever imagine. So why try to plan?" the West Monroe, Louisiana native asked.
“I would have never imagined I would be at the places I am today or done things that I've done today,” she added.
In one of her recent Live Original blog posts, Robertson tells her followers to not allow their weaknesses keep them from trusting God.
"Friends, you have a choice today to not take away the meaning of the cross, and to take that thing you have been calling your weakness straight to the cross to allow it to become a strength for the kingdom," she emphasized.
Robertson’s Live Original Tour is set to be played out in 16 cities across the U.S. Guest appearances on her tour will include her brother, author John Luke Robertson as well as Anthem Lights, Chris McClarney from Jesus Culture, Christian hip-hop music artist Steven Malcolm, and former “American Idol” contestant Hollyn.
