Matthew West Drops New 'All In' Album with Personal Stories- Family, Relationships, and Faith
Matthew West dropped his latest album titled “All In,” comprised of 14 tracks including the hit single, “Broken Things.” The song has become a quick favorite track on the radio and soared high on Christian Airplay.
During the past decade, thousands of stories from people all over the globe were sent to West with which the contemporary Christian music artist dedicated several “All In” songs to these individuals. These include stories centered on battling addiction and going through cancer, among others.
Now, the new album also comes with tracks that directly recognizes West’s personal stories and ambitions to go “all in” when it comes to multiple aspects of his life, such as his family, relationships, and faith.
"God has spoken to me in a powerful way as I've spent time in the cabin, my place of solitude, to work on this new album," West shared about his new album "I had a hard time getting through the writing and recording process on this song without choking up - it brings me to tears and into a place of worship. The fact that God still uses me blows me away.”
The 40-year-old singer also opened up about his feelings of anguish and brokenness, yet he believes that God is using him in a powerful way to inspire and share the word of God.
“Our God is in the business of using broken people and broken things,” he added.
New Release Today has described West’s latest album as “carefully crafted by a writer who doesn't shy away from baring his heart and allowing a refreshing authenticity to invade his music."
In a review by The Christian Beat, “All In” has been referred to as a combination of good music and personal stories “to make an album where each track has the ability to share a message we all need to hear at some point in our lives.”
West’s “All In” tour has already begun in September and is expected to cover more than 30 cities nationwide. The tour features music artist Jordan Feliz, who bagged 2016’s New Artist of the Year for the Gospel Music Association Dove Awards.
