Half Mile Home Releases "This Far" to Gospel Radio
On the heels of the recent success of their Billboard Top 15 radio single "Thinking Of Me," from their latest fourth project Don't Judge Me,which reached No. 11 on Billboard's Top Gospel Albums chart, Terence "Buttons" Burton, Darryl "Deaken" Brownlee and Todd Burton of Ohio-based Urban contemporary gospel trio Half Mile Home prepares to release their new radio single "This Far" to gospel radio this week.
"This Far" was birthed from a tragic experience group member Todd Burton experienced when his son was fatally shot in the head a few years ago. "Imagine getting a phone call at 5:37am that my oldest son Trey was shot in the head," states Burton. "I sat beside the bed and started praying and thanking God in advance as I headed to the hospital with my wife. Once I arrived I was told that I couldn't see my son at the moment by the nurses." "Our family was told by the doctor that my son has minor brain damage but he'll be back to normal in 3 months. The tears started falling as I looked at him laying there knowing that if God didn't spare him this would've been my last time to see him alive. BUT GOD said I didn't bring y'all "This Far" to leave you."
The group will premeire their new radio single at the Midwest Regional Black Family Reunion Gospel concert this month in Cincinnati, which draws over 20,000 attendees over a 3-day period.
"This Far" is currently going for adds at radio stations across the country, and will be available on Friday, September 29th, digitally, wherever Gospel music is sold.
