Duck Dynasty Season 6 on A&E Premiere Date Set for June 2014 to Welcome Back Robertson Family
A&E has revealed that The Robertson Family will be back for the summer with "Duck Dynasty" Season 6 airing new episodes beginning in June with the premiere date set for June 11th. Everyone's favorite duck lovin' crew will have new surprises and Uncle Si should be up to his same old antics.
The popular reality series will kick off with Duck Commander CEO Willie Robertson receiving the inaugural Governor's Award for Entrepreneurial Excellence from Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal. This was 40 years in the making, with Willie's father founding the Duck Commander Company back in 1972 in West Monroe, Louisiana.
"It was really neat to have the governor on our show," said Willie Robertson to the News-Star. "He did a great job and is used to cameras being around, so he was a natural...and playing yourself always helps."
Jindal enjoyed his time with the Robertsons as well sharing to The News-Star, "The Robertson family epitomizes what it means to be a homegrown Louisiana business. We are proud of the economic boom Louisiana is seeing, and a large part of this is due to the expansion of individuals who run small businesses like the Duck Commanders do."
After "Duck Dynasty" exploded on A&E to become their highest rated show ever and one of the biggest shows on all of television through Season 4, the ratings took a dip for the first time last season. The show is still plenty successful to stay on the air as long as they want to keep filming, but only time will tell if the 'duck craze' is simmering down in America. Tune into "Duck Dynasty" on A&E as they premiere Season 6 with the episode, "Governor's Travels," Wednesday June 11 at 10 pm EST.
