Fox News' Kelly Wright Releases "Songs of Inspiration"
For nearly 30 years, Kelly Wright has been reporting on major news events, a fact familiar to millions of Fox News viewers. Kelly is the co-anchor of America's News Headquarters Weekends and former co-host of Fox and Friends Weekend. Kelly's experiences in news have placed him on the front lines in Iraq, Africa, London, Paris and Washington DC. A two-time Emmy award winner, Kelly offers a unique perspective to his craft. Beyond his anchoring and reporting, Kelly is an ordained minister and Gospel recording artist. He encourages people through his passionate preaching of the good news in a bad-news world.
"Songs Of Inspiration," Kelly's new album, is a collection of songs near and dear to his heart, with lyrics that have resonated throughout his life. Each of these ten carefully-selected songs provides inspiration to listeners through their uplifting lyrics and the strength of Kelly's singing.
"America Great Again," Kelly's first single from this album, opens with a dramatic reading drawn from the Declaration of Independence. This leads into remembrances of America's greatness as a land blessed by God. The song says, "If we could be united, a nation undivided, under God and with His guidance, forever we would stand. What made America great could make America great again." Written by Marty Funderburk and Joseph Habedank, this song is patriotic and bears a strong moral message.
As a singer, Kelly has headlined at the legendary Cotton Club and at the Apollo Theater, and performed on programs featuring Shirley Caesar, Cissy Houston, the late James Brown, Jonathan Butler, Vicki Winans, the Mississippi Mass Choir and more. He has been featured on the Huckabee Show on several occasions, as well as appearing on TBN, performing the National Anthem for the Marine Corps Leatherneck Ball in New York, on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery and the Pentagon for Memorial Day Services.
