LOCASH's Performance At CMA Music Festival Turns To Gold
No. 1 "I Love This Life" hit-making country music duo LOCASH was giving an infectious and high-energy live performance in the summer heat during the 2016 CMA Music Festival on Sunday when they were surprised by their record label head, David Ross of Reviver Records, with the exciting news that their top charting hit is officially RIAA Gold-Certified, selling over 500,000 copies.
Walking out on stage before the start of their final song in the set, Ross presented Chris Lucas and Preston Brust of the duo with their very first gold record plaques from Reviver to commemorate a half million in sales of the self-penned song.
"These are two of the hardest working guys in this business, and until you've seen their work ethic firsthand, you'll never realize how deserving they really are to have achieved this milestone," said Ross.
"I'm proud to have them on Reviver, and I'm proud to be a part of our amazing team who helped launch the success of this song; but most of all, I'm grateful to the fans - all of you - who've made this happen. We hope this is a first of many more major sales achievements for LOCASH," he added.
LOCASH's appearance at the 2016 CMA Music Festival also included another first for the duo - their first performance on the CMT Awards, where they sang "I Love This Life." They made their national TV debuts with the song on the Today Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live! back in March.
Friday, June 17, LOCASH will celebrate their debut full-length album release with Reviver, The Fighters, which includes "I Love This Life," their latest single "I Know Somebody," (which just broke into the Top 30 and is climbing), as well as several new songs that have already become popular with fans out on the road.
Catch them out on the road on tour! LOCASH has a full slate of dates on their calendar throughout the rest of 2016.
