NewSpring Worship on Pastor Perry Noble & Their New EP "Difference Maker"
NewSpring and the entire team of NewSpring Church, with Pastor Perry Noble are relessing their brand new DREAM Worship EP Difference Maker. NewSpring is the worship ministry of NewSpring Church, a growing, vibrant church with multiple locations all over the state of South Carolina.
NewSpring exists to reach people far from God and teach them to follow Jesus step by step. From stage to studio, we want to passionately declare God's glory and goodness to the world! It's our desire that when people listen and sing along, they will encounter Jesus, and the hope He offers.
Hallels: Let's start with yourself, tell us a little who is Newspring Worship.
NewSpring Worship are the worship leaders and musicians who serve our church at every campus, every week. We exist to reach people far from God and teach them to follow Jesus step by step.
Hallels: Of all the worship bands out there, what sets your music apart?
Every worship band is an expression of the churches that they are born from. We are no exception. What sets us apart is what sets our church apart... It's not better or worse than any other Church or Worship expression. It's simply the unique voice that God has given to us through our church. One specific thing that sets us apart is that we don't have a "sound." Because our church is spread across an entire state and is made up of every demographic, we have to embrace multiple musical vibes... all with the theme of glorifying God and singing the Gospel.
Hallels: Congratulations on the release of "Difference Maker." I believe your album title is also the sermon series title of your pastor Perry Noble. Which came first? The sermon series? Or the songs on this record?
The sermon series definitely came first. The songs weren't born from that series. They're a collection of the music we've been playing over the past year. Difference Maker is a statement about the season NewSpring is in currently. We feel the songs speak to that.
Hallels: With Perry Noble as your pastor, how has his teachings inform the writing of your songs?
Perry is our number one influence. He is adamant that every lyric be rooted in scripture, and accessible to everyone. He also pushes us to write music that is simple, dynamic, emotional and fun.
Hallels: Let's talk about your single "Now and Forever." For our readers who have not heard it, what is this song about?
This song is simply about the Gospel and our response. When you see what Jesus has done for you, you can't help but lift your hands in worship and lay down your heart in surrender.
Hallels: You've also included a hymn on your new EP, why record the hymn "It is Well"?
Because we have so many different kinds of people at our church, we've been able to enjoy hymns like this one. It Is Well is such an anthem for our church. Through good times and bad, because of Christ, each person can truly say "it is well with my soul."
Hallels: For our readers who would like to know about you and your music, where can they go?
