Cheri Keaggy Wraps Up Busy Holiday Season with Multiple Christmas Concerts‏

cheri keaggy

Dove awatd winner Cheri Keaggy has had a busy year.  Earlier she released her latest release No Longer My Own to great critically acclaim.  Ever since, she has been busy. In September, Keaggy ministered at the women's facility at the Nashville Rescue Mission.

"My home church does an outreach every year," Keaggy explains. "This was my 3rd year in a row to minister at the Mission's women's facility, and it is always an honor to support this remarkable ministry that provides food, clothing, shelter and most importantly hope, to homeless men, women and children in the Nashville community."

Keaggy finished up September by performing in venues across Ohio, including at the Faith & Friends Radio's Kaleidoscope show at the Montgomery County Fair with hosts Bill Nance and Melody Morris.

During October, Keaggy sang and spoke at Lipscomb Middle School Girls' Chapel in Nashville. She made a big impression on the girls when she gave out free CDs to everyone in attendance, and Keaggy says she was equally touched when she received a multitude of handmade 'Thank You!' cards in return. Later that month she performed at a women's event for moms in Alpharetta, Georgia along with Jill Savage, President and CEO of Hearts At Home. The event served as the kick-off to announce the upcoming Hearts at Home conference that is scheduled to be held in Chattanooga, Tennessee in November, 2016.

Keaggy took a much needed break during November to relax and recharge before heading back out for a mini-tour of churches in Ohio prior to the Thanksgiving holiday. December started with Keaggy ministering in song and word on the theme of Comfort and Joy during the Annual Forest Hills Baptist Women's Christmas Dinner in Nashville.

"I had ministered at their women's retreat a few years back and felt like we had all bonded in some way, so it was truly special to be back for their Christmas event," Keaggy noted. "There were women of all ages in all different seasons of life coming together under one roof to share a meal and remember that God is with us, our Emmanuel. It was a great way to usher in the Christmas season."

Keaggy closed out her holiday concert schedule with a trio of events at churches in New York state, including a performance at Jordan United Methodist in Jordan, New York, where she was joined onstage by a sacred dance team for a special interpretation of "Lucky to Be Breathing Your Air" and "What Child is This?"
