Australian Christian Singer Bel Thomson is Pregnant!
Australian Christian artist Bel Thomson is pregnant! Bel Thomson is an Australian award-winning singer, songwriter, and speaker whose ministry takes her across the country to conferences, festivals, schools, camps, outreach events, and Christian Churches of all denominations.
She has just released her new album A New Creation. The title track from her new release "A New Creation" - a song that will touch many hearts with its theme of grace - features Paul Colman (Grammy nominated singer/songwriter, formerly in the Newsboys). On release, this song was in the top 30 songs on Christian radio in Australia for 21 weeks straight, and is being picked up by churches across the country to use in their worship services.
In her email to her fans, she shares her pregnancy news:
Overjoyed is the only word to describe how we feel!
After releasing the New Creation album in 2014, followed by the New Creation DVD and tour in 2015, it seems we are keeping with the theme for 2016...I reckon it's gonna be our BEST new creation yet!!! What a blessing this new growing life is! We are thankful for God's blessing! It's His perfect timing!
Obviously having a baby will change our ministry, yet we are still as passionate as ever to share the gospel through music ministry (Bel) and leadership training and development (Phil). We would value your prayers for God's grace for us and our baby in the season ahead, and wisdom in our bookings and schedule. We are still taking bookings for gigs for 2016, so go ahead and make contact if you have an opportunity in mind. I'm thankful for the good health I've had this pregnancy (after having a wonderful break to be refreshed after tour this year), which has enabled me to fulfill all commitments (albeit with extra loo trips and drinking lots of protein shakes throughout gigs to keep the nausea at bay!!). We simply love what we do and trust God to guide our steps ahead, with the added blessing of a child! Already we have had many offers of baby holders at gigs!
So, 2016 is looking to be an exciting year. We are pumped, and send warm seasons greetings from our family to yours!
With love, blessings, and much excitement!
Bel & Phil (and the little one!) xox
Her new album is a dream come true for Bel, who has worked on this project with GMA Dove Award winning (2004-2007) and Grammy-nominated producer Ed Cash (Chris Tomlin, Amy Grant and Kari Jobe) in Nashville, USA.
This experience has seen Bel's music develop beyond the simple country/folk melodies that inspired her 2009 release to create a world-class adult pop album.
"A New Creation" is carving a trail of encouragement across Australia. Along with the title track, other standout songs include "Stars", "Diamond in the Rough", "Worth the Fight" and "Dressed in White (The Wedding Song)". Each song has a story and shares a genuine message of faith, flowing from the soul of this Australian singer-songwriter.
Accompanying the CD is Bel's new DVD "A New Creation: The Stories & Songs." The DVD features a collection of inspiring music videos, and the stories behind the songs. This ministry resource was created as a direct response to the many requests we have had from fans for a product that will capture not only Bel's songs, but the powerful stories that she shares about each song. Filmed in various locations on the East Coast of Australia, we pray that this DVD moves many to know God's love.
