Jonny Diaz Single “Breathe” Reaches Top Twenty on Billboard National Audience Chart
Singer and songwriter Jonny Diaz's single "Breathe" went Top Twenty this week on Billboard's National Audience Chart (NCA) with strong adds from such major radio outlets as WAY-FM/Nashville, TN,K-LOVE, SiriusXM, WONU/Chicago, IL, Joy-FM/St. Louis. Co-written by Diaz, Jonathan Smith and Tony Wood, "Breathe," relates to how hectic life has become with the up-tempo lyrics and a slower chorus as Diaz emphasizes the need to stop and rely on God. Chaos calls but all you really need/Is to take it in fill your lungs/The Peace of God that overcomes/Just breathe/Let your weary spirit rest/Lay down what's good and find what's best/Just breathe.
"I feel so grateful that my song 'Breathe' is connecting with Christian listeners and very thankful for the support from radio," says Diaz. "To be honest, it's definitely a message that I constantly need to be reminded of and especially during the approach of the busy holiday season."
The song is the lead single from Diaz's new album that released in September, Everything Is Changing. The six song project had multiple producers with Josh Brownleewe, Jeff Pardo and Chad Copelin, who produced "Breathe." The song is a reflection on Diaz's current life as he juggles a music career, a new baby daughter and opening a new fitness studio in Nashville with his wife, Libby.Diaz is currently on tour with Jason Gray's Christmas Stories Tour that also features the band Carrollton.
