Matt Maher's "Saints and Sinners" Nabs the No. 2 Spot on Billboard's Christian Chart
Singer and songwriter Matt Maher's latest release Saints & Sinners debuted at No. 2 on Billboard's Christian Chart this week selling over 8,000 units. Additionally, his current single "Because He Lives (Amen)" dominated the No. 1 spot on Billboard National Christian Audience Chart attracting 9.9 million listeners.
"Because He Lives (Amen)" is one of 11 compelling tracks on the new release, all of which are receiving praise from critics across the board.
In our review of the album this is what we said: "When it comes to Matt Maher, you can always count on two things: here is a literate poet who is well-versed in history, theology and Scripture. Thus, no Maher song can ever be faulted on its lyrical triteness. On the other hand, Maher also has a way of taking some of the most learned truths and making them sing and sting to the average person on the street."
