The film has a catching title that is gotten from the nickname given to one of the Journalists who is a freelance involved in taking videos of bloody traffic accidents and sells them to local TV stations in the movie. This role has been taken up by actor Jake Gyllenhall who in a weird twist is depicted to having a kind character despite his line of work. Jake plays as Lou Bloom, a jobless and hungry Angelino. Through his desperate lifestyle he Turns nocturnal and goes body-chasing across Los Angeles to provide for his daily bread. Jake has been an Oscar nominee and a dedicated actor as sources revealed that he had to lose ten Kilos for the sake of this film that will launch on Friday in the United States, according to Yahoo News reports.
"I and Director Dan Gilroy talked a lot about coyotes in Los Angeles particularly at night, the wild animal that come down (from the hills) and are kind of surviving, even though the metropolis has taken over. He's a coyote. He is hungry," Jake Gyllenhall said while talking about his character, Jake was nominated for the Oscar Academy awards for 2005's "Brokeback Mountain". In one cut scene of the movie shows Bloom having to eat out as cheeseburger in a fast food are slightly expensive. "This guy who doesn't eat much," said the 33-year old actor who has been used to be on the other end of the paparazzi camera.
The movie storyline depicts Bloom slowly transforming into a psychopath in which it even reaches a point he risks his own life just to get a chance to take films as he loses even his empathy and his instinct to helping those he is filming. "It is supposed to be the journalist's responsibility to capture the story, to feed the audience... No matter what. And he is doing nothing really that can be called illegal," said the actor.
