Fans of the Japan-based tech-company that has taken the world by storm, after the release of their game consoles, unveiled their latest device. Sony, after announcing their new flagship smartphone and tablet has signaled the start of the pre-orders for Xperia Z3 Compact Tablet, as reported by Android Central.
Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact is now available for pre-orders in Sony's Online Store at $499.99. Sony posted the estimated date of release for Z3 Tablet which is on Nov. 3. The 8-inch Android tablet from the well-known tech-giant was revealed during the Sony Demand Great event along with the new Xperia Z3 smartphone, Load The Game reported.
Unlike Xperia Z3 that will be exclusively carried by Verizon, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact will be carried by Sony themselves. Tech-geeks have seen it as a direct competitor to the newly unveiled Apple iPad Air 2 as well as Google and HTC's co-produced Nexus 9.

Xperia Z3 Tablet is Sony's flagship tablet that has 8.4 x 4.9 x 0.25 inches dimension and 9.5 oz. weight. Its TRILUMINOSTM 8-inch IPS LCD display with 1920 x 1200 pixels that features auto rotation; smart screen rotation; direct touch, multi-touch, anti fingerprint coating; screenshot and screen record.
Sony's newest tablet that is seen as a reputable rival for Apple, Google, and even Samsung's latest tablets is powered by quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 clocked at 2.5 GHz. This high-end processor allows swift and ultra fast processing that tablet users would want in a device. Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact also features AndroidTM KitKat 4.4.4 that will soon be upgradable to the latest Lollipop 5.0.
In terms of storage capacity, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact has 3GB RAM and expandable 32GB internal memory. Users can have up to 128GB storage through a micro SD card. The latest Sony flagship tablet is also equipped with 4500 mAh battery that allows up to 170 hours music listening time and up to 15 hours video playback time.
As the maker of the high-end Cyber Shot cameras, Sony equipped the Z3 Tablet Compact with 8.1MP main HD camera with 1080p video recording. If you are a selfie lover then you would be happy with this tablet's 2.2MP front snapper that also has the same video recording quality.
