WWE Sued for Hepatitis C Infections by Billy Jack Haynes
WWE Sued for Hepatitis C Infections by Billy Jack Haynes
Billy Jack Haynes has sued Vince McMahon's WWE for contracting the disease Hepatitis C. Confirming the allegation, WWE in their website denied the claims insisting there is no way they could have hid the reports from Haynes.
According to WWE, there is no way that Billy Jack Haynes got sick when he was appearing for WWE. The company confirmed that it had long ago implemented the concussion management procedures and policies as a precautionary measure.
WWE Owner Vince McMahon has not made a statement about the scandal. The lawsuit is a shock. It is like a class action suit since Jack Haynes is representing other wrestlers who back up his claim.
In his suit, Haynes claims that WWE put its wrestlers in danger by encouraging steroid and cocaine use. While WWE did this, it kept the medical records and reports from medics hidden, starving both wrestlers and sports authorities vital information about the sport and its code of ethics.
Haynes is representing other players who wrestled at WWE from 1986-88. According to Jack Haynes, WWE went out of its by refusing to disclose the health risks of concussions suffered during wrestling matches. Such health risks include brain disease CTE.
Haynes wants WWE to pay him and others $5 million. In his suit Haynes also accuses Vince McMahons Company of exposing wrestlers to Hepatitis C disease. Haynes told the courts that he contracted the disease during his blood soaked wrestling sessions at WWE rings.
Jack Haynes WWE suit is about the company doing little to protect players from exposure. It could be a blow indeed if the courts rule in favor of Haynes and others. It is highly unlikely that judges will find the company at fault for not protecting wrestlers from exposure since players must have undergone medical tests before going to the wrestle in the bloody rings.
Billy Jack Haynes suit against WWE is on his behalf and others. The class action suit against WWE seeks $5 million payment from the company.
