All-Time Low Starring in New Movie 'Fan Girl' Releasing 2015 with Meg Ryan, Kara Hayward and Kiernan Shipka
All Time Low is heading to the big screen in 2015 with the upcoming movie, Fan Girl. The baltimore natives will be joining co-stars Meg Ryan, Kara Hayward and Kiernan Shipka for the film following a 15-year-old teen (Shipka) who obsesses over making movies and her favorite band, All-Time Low of course. She gets a chance to see the band live and film the concert for a class project.
According to Deadline, the girl is "Given only a few days to complete a final film project, she comes up with an idea that could bring her two passions together."
Paul Jarrett will be making his directorial debut and the screenplay was written by Gina O'Brien from experiences that she has had with her own daughter. The cast is rounded out with Kara Hayward, Scott Adsit (30 Rock), Bill Sage (The Boy) and Joshua Boonerounding.
Star Kiernan Shipka has been on ABC's "Mad Men" as Don Draper's contemplative daughter and she stars in Lifetime's Flowers in the Attic movies and writer-director Naomi Foner's Very Good Girls.
All Time Low will also be making several tracks for the movie soundtrack.
The Baltimore, MD pop-punk band formed in 2003. Since their formation the band has consisted of vocalist and rhythm guitarist Alex Gaskarth, lead guitarist and backing vocalist Jack Barakat, bassist and backing vocalist Zack Merrick and drummer Rian Dawson. The band has released their debut EP The Three Words to Remember in Dealing with the End in 2004 through local label Emerald Moon. Since then the band has released five studio albums: The Party Scene (2005), So Wrong, It's Right (2007), Nothing Personal (2009), Dirty Work (2011) and Don't Panic (2012). All Time Low released their first live album, Straight to DVD, in 2010. While recording Dirty Work, the group contributed the song "Painting Flowers" to the Almost Alice soundtrack.
