iPhone 6 Plus vs Nexus 6: Can The Size Justify Everything?
iPhone 6 Plus vs Nexus 6: Can The Size Justify Everything?
Many people are contemplating on what phablet to buy, is it Apple's iPhone 6 Plus or is it Google's Nexus 6. The "Nexus 6" is bigger with 5.9 inch display compared to the 5.5 inch display of iPhone 6 Plus. But can the size justify everything? The "Nexus 6" has a higher pixel density with its 2560 x 1440 resolution making for a ppi of 493 while iPhone 6 Plus only has a display resolution of 1920 x 1080 and a ppi of 401.
If you would compare the design of both phones, iPhone 6 Plus' with aluminium while "Nexus 6" has metal flash ring, aluminium frame and dimpled logo. That said, many would agree that the "6 Plus" looks better compared to the other phone.
In terms of power, the two phones have different qualities. Nexus 6 is a powerhouse with its 2.7 GHz quad-core processor and 3GB of RAM, while "6 Plus" has a dual-core 1.4 GHz processor and only 1GB of RAM. Although Apple has a lower number, they still customized and synch all their hardware to provide a shining performance.
Ecumenical News reported that, the 8-megapixel snapper on the "iPhone 6 Plus" is smaller compared to the 13-megapixel rear facing camera of Nexus 6. However, this does not mean that the iPhone would disappoint its users. The tech company maintains its dominance in delivering the best mobile photography.
When it comes to storage, both phones are the same. They failed to give the users the option to expand the internal storage with a MicroSD which means fewer choices. "iPhone 6" Plus will allow you to choose from 16GB, 64GB or 128GB, while "Nexus 6" has 32GB or 64Gb. However, "Nexus 6" might cost you beginning at $649 off-contract and starting at staggering $749 for "iPhone 6 Plus".
It is noticeable that Apple has an edge in terms of battery life, even with a 2915mAh compared to Google's 3220mAh. In figures the latter is higher, but because iPhone 6 Plus has more energy efficient components, its battery life is longer. It can work up to 14 hours of video playback, while "Nexus 6" is only limited to 10 hours.
It is certainly not going to be so easy picking the best from these two new phones. Actually, your choice will depend on your budget, design requirements and usage. Which one suits you the best?
