'Once Upon a Time' Season 4 Recap: Understand the Value of Sisterhood
"Once Upon a Time" now returns on television for its fourth season that opens with "A Tale of Two Sisters," introducing Anna, played by Elizabeth Lail, Elsa, portrayed by Georgina Haig and the wonderful land of Arandelle from Disney's highly popular Frozen to Storybrooke.
In the "Once Upon a Time" season 4 recap, the episode opens with the flashback of Ana and Elsa's parents, on a ship in a very violent storm, looking for some truth that will seemingly answer or explain Elsa's curse. Their mother wrote the things she learned in their search on a letter in a bottle. They tossed the bottle into the ocean just before they're both killed.
The episode then flashes forward to the modern-day Arandelle, where Ana and Elsa remember their parents fondly and talked about the upcoming wedding of Anna. Meanwhile, Elsa in Our World, stumbles upon Storybrook after she came through the portal of the past.
In Arandelle, Elsa showed the wedding dress of their mother to her sister Anna. She entrusted her to wear the gown for the wedding, along with the snowflake necklace. Elsa found her mother's diary that is full of secrets. She is very distraught and troubled after reading the diary.
According to the Entertainment Weekly, the plot of "Once Upon a Time" Season 4 gets moving when Elsa learned that their parents did not really die while they are on a diplomatic mission. Upon learning the reason for their parents death, Anna is very determined to know what their parents were searching for. However, Elsa wants her dear sister to just let it go. She knew that the journey will be dangerous and she does not want her sister to share the same fate with their parents.
The Comic Book also emphasizes how much Anna cared for her sister. She even didn't want Kristoff to go with her on the journey just because she wanted him to stay with Elsa. She did not want her sister to be alone.
With the new adventures to look forward to, ABC is inviting devoted and new viewers of "Once Upon a Time" to take another look at this exciting fantasy series.
