Samsung Galaxy Note Edge: Features and Release Date
Samsung Galaxy Note Edge teams up with Galaxy Note 4 in the market, competing with other devices like the iPhone 6, Xperia Z3 and LG G3.
The device is powered by 2.7 GHz Quad Core Processor, with 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal memory. It also runs the Android 4.4 OS (Kitkat). Its 3000mAh fast charging battery also gives a longer mobile experience.
The official Samsung website reveals that the Galaxy Note Edge features its borderless aesthetic s design, a curved edge which gives users a "fluidic and infinite experience through the expanded space." The device is available in charcoal black and frost white. All with the swipe of a thumb, users now have a unique way to quickly access their mobile activities, such as the frequently used applications, notifications and device functionality. The unique curved screen of the Galaxy Note Edge can access information even when the cover is closed. Users can further concentrate on the phone content with notifications showing up to the Edge screen. The screen can be also personalized by the user, using live information or the user's photos from the gallery, as per CNET.
The Galaxy Note Edge also features its premium screen, which blends the high contrast 5.6-inch Quad HD and Super AMOLED Display. This gives crystal clear images painted with fluent and vivid color, making them live and real to the human eye. It is endowed with a high resolution, which is significantly appreciated in viewing pages, browsing the internet, and reading e-books. The phone also allows multitasking through its multi window feature, which enables users to handle multiple applications at once.
Picture taking is one of the best uses of a smartphone. Galaxy Note Edge is built with a 16-megapixel Smart OIS rear camera and a 3.7-megapixel front facing F1.9 lens camera, which gives 60% more light. This advanced technology captures every life moment in both bright and dark environment.
Samsung also presents an advanced S pen for improved touch experience. Through enhanced pressure sensitivity, users can now enrich their digital handwriting experience. Galaxy Note Edge also has the Smart Select feature. Users can now select any text or content on the screen using the S pen. Meanwhile, the Photo Note feature serves as a new way to take notes. This allows users to take photos with it and edit the notes that they make. It also gives a personal touch as users can also change the note's color and include additional memos.
