Gwen Stefani 'Baby Don't Lie' New Official Music Video Released from Upcoming Solo Album 2014, Listen Here (VIDEO)
Gwen Stefani released her first new single from her upcoming album called "Baby Don't Lie" earlier this week and now she has released the colorful video for her single. The video, which you can watch above, was directed by Sophie Miller.
The video is a spin on the Wizard of Oz as she being swept away by a tornado formed by her lyrics, which takes her to a technicolor world where she walks down a yellow brick road.
The track was co-written by Benny Blanco (Kesha, Britney Spears) and Ryan Tedder of One Republic.
Even more exciting, is that fellow "Voice" coach Pharrell Williams is producing several tracks on her new solo album and he always brings out the best in her. He helped No Doubt with their breakout hit "Hella Good" and also with her biggest hits on her last solo album The Sweet Escape.
Gwen is staying very busy these days, recording her first solo album in over seven years and also working on a new No Doubt album. This on top of being a new coach on America's hottest singing competition show "The Voice" on NBC. New coaches Gwen and Pharrell Williams have fit right in with long term coaches Adam Levine and Blake Shelton to make it one of the best seasons of the show yet.
Billboard magazine reports that Gwen will also perform her first single from the new album on "The Voice" stage later this Season.
2006 was the last time that Gwen released a solo album and she has had her plate full being a mother to their three sons. But she is back in the studio and hoping for a 2014 release date.
Including her work with No Doubt, Stefani has sold more than thirty million albums worldwide. She won the World's Best-Selling New Female Artist at the World Music Awards 2005. In 2009 Billboard magazine ranked Stefani the fifty-fourth most successful artist and thirty-seventh most successful Hot 100 artist of the 2000-09 decade.
You can watch Gwen along with Pharrell Williams, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton on Monday and Tuesday nights as they coach on "The Voice" on NBC at 8/7c.
