On 16 October, Apple revealed the iOS 8.1 that will feature the Apple Pay service. The CNET News mentioned that the service allows Apple device users to purchase items from retail stores or from online with only few touches. Even the payment system of the product will be done with iOS 8.1-supported device.
Apple has several advantages of containing innumerous credit cards on it's file for iTunes and stores. Therefore, the Apple pay system is very simple and easy. User can use Passbook and Apple pay menu on the internal phone setting. Then can move to the card addition segment where the statement - 'Use card on File' with iTunes appear. Then the security code, which comprises of three-digits would open up the account.
Multiple cards can be used on the file. The details can be manually entered or scanned. The scanning can be done with the iPhone's camera. The scanning may not respond to dark environments and unfortunately, the flash of the phone just turns off after opening the scan app. So user might need proper light for the scanning process. The card might not work for every bank as it supports particular bank accounts. Fox Business stated that card works for most of the leading US banks.
Online transaction can be maintained by Apple Pay feature. The online transaction has been made easier for iOS 8.1 supported devices. The recently launched iPad Mini 3 and iPad Air 2 allows easy online transaction process while iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus might needed to be updated to iOs 8.1 according to Washington Posts. First of all the billing and shipping address will be needed along with the contact information in the Passbook and Apple Pay menu.
User can manually enter the details or can copy information from the contacts app. Apple Pay is available in retail store but the app should hit the app purchase stores s that it can to easily accessible. The Apple Pay provides great shopping experience that takes the online shopping experience one-step ahead.
Numerous retail chain establishments have already started to accept the Apple Pay from the launching ceremony. By the end of the current year 2014, the number is expected to greatly enhance to promote the next generation shopping experience.
