GTA V Online Heist, Release Date Still Not In Sight
For those asking about the next update for GTA Online, we don't have any release date info to share right now but please do stay tuned, it says on the message board of Rockstar Games, the publisher of Grand Theft Auto V. Online Heists are an upcoming highly anticipated feature of GTA: Online involving elaborate, collaborative missions for big money scores. Heists have yet to be added in a content update, despite being promised on the day GTA: Online was released. In April, Rockstar announced that Grand Theft Auto Online updates will be added throughout the spring and beyond. It also said that the Heists will likewise be coming this spring and more information on these will be made available at a later date. However, it has been 385 days since GTA: Online was released and Rockstar has not released the Heists yet says "Are The Heists There Yet" fan count down site.
It doesn't help quell fan expectations that 'DomIsLive' just this week posted a YouTube video revealing purported leaks of animations for the upcoming online Grand Theft Auto V Heist, including a single-player zombie DLC. The uploaded video clip of more than 100 animations features situations of bank heists, ATM mugging, lock-picking, among other scenes of heist missions. According to the Xbox Official Magazine, the leak uploaded by 'DomIsLive comes from a GTA Online file which details eight new Heist missions.
In June, VG 24/7 shared a Rockstar reply to a fan query on the release date for the GTA V Online Heist. The reply reads: "We know many fans have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Online Heists that we had planned to release for you this spring, and they are taking more time to create than originally anticipated. We are very sorry for the delay, and are working hard to bring them to you as soon as we can. Please know that we are focused as always on making the best possible content for you to play and we are thankful to all of you for your patience, understanding and support."
The GTA V video game was released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms September last year. An enhanced port is set for release on November 18 for PS4 and Xbox One, and on January 27 for Microsoft Windows.
