Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Review: Bigger and Better, Smarter than Ever
After the successful release of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 just this October 17, many fans and technology enthusiasts are thrilled to use the new phablet from Samsung.
The new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 packs a rather large 5.7 inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and a pixel density of 515 ppi. It is considered to be Samsung's very first Quad HD device. The high pixel density ensures crystal clear quality on the display along with vibrant colors thanks to the Super AMOLED technology.
For the processing prowess of the Galaxy Note 4, a 2.7 GHZ Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 SoC processor is included in the device. Also, the new device is one of the pioneers in having the Qualcomm's new processor for mobile handsets,as noted by Tech Radar
According to Mobile Syrup, AnTuTu benchmarks, one of the leading benchmarking softwares for mobile phones, the Note 4 is about 10% faster compared to the Galaxy S5 S801. Other AnTuTu scores are also higher due to the new Adreno 420 GPU installed on the Note 4.
BGR reported that aside from the powerful performance of the processor and the GPU, the Note 4 is also packing 3 GBs of RAM for more multitasking with several apps without stuttering or lagging. For the media lover, a 32 GB internal storage is included in the device for more HD movies, songs, and games to play on the go.
The rear 16 mega pixel camera captures crisp and clear photographs with the help of the optical image stabilization feature. Selfies are also not a problem as the Note 4 uses a 3.7 megapixel front camera. It has a lens with an F-stop of 1.9.
As for the battery, the Note 4 is powered by 3,220 mAh of power. Some users report that the Note 4 can play movies nonstop for over 11 hours, which an impressive feat is considered the Quad HD and Super AMOLED screen of the phablet.
The Note 4 also has an intriguing Fast Charging feature which charges the Note 4's battery faster than other devices. The Note 4 can be charged from 0 percent to 50 percent in just a measly 30 minutes if the special charger is used, according to Samsung.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 price ranges from $299 on a two year contract and retail prices of $699.99 up to $825.99.
