DC Superhero Franchises news and updates: DC to compete head to head with Marvel; Plus Justice League and Wonder Woman movies confirmed!
Warner Bros. recently announced their plans for a full Justice League movie and a solo Wonder Woman movie as well.
Man of Steel and Batman V Superman director Zak Snyder is said to be helming the two-part Justice League movie soon.
These announcements came out of a private shareholders meeting and was shared by CEO Kevin Tsujihara about these exciting plans, according to Forbes. Now all those rumors circling around about a possible Justice League movie can now be realized as the Justice League movie will be filmed back to back with Batman V Superman. So, as of this speaking, we might never know that DC is actually filming Justice League now.
On the other hand, Wonder Woman will never be taken out of the equation as she will be donning the sexy custome she is known for with a solo movie too.
Here are the list of the DC comics superhero films that will soon hit the big screen: Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad in 2016, Wonder Woman and Justice League: Part 1 in 2017, The Flash and Aquaman in 2018, Shazam and Justice League: Part 2 in 2019, Cyborg and Green Lantern in 2020. These are just what is on the map, DC might for sure add more to the list as it competes with Marvel.
The Flash, as of the moment, is enjoying TV time, but a solo movie is not also a bad idea. Though Green Lantern did not do much 3 years ago, a 2020 film reboot is a fantastic idea too.
Man of Steel is also being considered for a sequel and so as a solo Batman movie, where both movies could well be shown by 2020.
The announcement was made because of Robert Downey Jr's combining forces with Captain America on its 3rd sequel. Now that is a huge announcement that kept the rumor mill spinning. And yeah DC butts in with a bang!
Meanwhile, The Rock had been confirmed to play as Black Adam in the upcoming Shazam.
With all these exciting news coming in, we just can't wait for all these to be realized on the big screen.
