It saw the return of Angelina Jolie to the screen. She takes the role of the villain in the movie. Maleficent is all about a movie which retells the story of the sleeping beauty in a different way: from the villain's point of view.

According to Sosogay, the movie completely delivers on what you would expect from a director with a history such as that of Stormberg.  The world of maleficent is full of vast amount of mythical creatures, from goblins to witches and even miniature creatures. We cannot deny that this has been a great year for Disney Movies with Captain America amassing a whooping amount of $714 million at the Box office level. However when it comes to Maleficent, Disney put a sum of $180 million into the movie. It however, did not do very well at the Box office level as it only garnered $172 million. It is therefore not a surprise that the movie will get a DVD release the same year it was released.

The maleficent movie tells about two kingdoms: the human and the magic kingdoms. Maleficent watches over the magic kingdom but she fell in love with a human. The human body, however, was driven by greed and cut off Maleficent's wings so that he could be crowned king. From there Maleficent vowed to take revenge against the humans. When the now crowned king bears a daughter, maleficent learns about it and curses the king's daughter. The king, in an effort to protect the daughter sent her daughter to a far away land so that she could escape the curse. However, maleficent learns where she is taken and follows her.  The two bond and develop and true and a very deep friendship. There comes to a point where Maleficent regrets her curse but she is not able to reverse it.

Things happen as predicted and the king's daughter falls to a deep slumber, and it is Maleficent's true love kiss that wakes her up again. The movie was very good and Angelina did not disappoint once she was back to the screen. The movie was released on 4^th April 2014 and it will be released on DVD on 4^th November 2014.
